Photographic exhibition at Slug and Lettuce Winchester
Twyford-based photographer and designer, Christopher Newberry, was one of the last to exhibit at Winchester's Tower Arts Centre and is now showing his photographs at the Slug and Lettuce, 12, The Square, Winchester.
The exhibition, “Vistas in a Crowded Land”, consists of 25 large landscape photographs in the vicinity of Winchester familiar to most local people. The result of more than 3 years’ work, it captures the drama of the skies and the beauty of a land endangered by the ongoing and increasing encroachment of housing and roads. Some of the vistas seen here may soon be lost.
