Business Development Manager (BDM) - Southampton, Hampshire - £25 - £50K
A leading manufacturing solutions company in Southampton are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team, you will be joining the company at exciting times as the position is a brand new role and will give you the opportunity to bring your experience and knowledge to the position. The majority of the time will be spent field based however staying in close contact with the Sales Director will be crucial. Excellent communication skills are needed to develop new business accounts and you will need to maintain a strong customer focus to retain their existing accounts. You will be expected to improve company margins and develop new ways to increase revenue, obviously working towards annually set sales targets.
You will also be expected to cross sell the company products and raise the company profile in their market. You will work closely with the marketing department to ensure the portfolio is up to a high standard and develop different route to market approaches. Any experience in manufacturing or electronics industry would be advantageous.
