This is a permanent job role working for a public sector organisation and will offer daily variety and challenge with key responsibility for the ownership and provision of high quality facilities and services. You will be responsible for all soft services, predominantly:
Capacity planning: liaising with internal customers and suppliers to ensure the effective use of facilities and working with internal clients to plan and develop future use. Alterations are likely to be carried out while normal business continues, this is a delicate process to manage.
Planned and term maintenance: Working with the internal engineering team to schedule and manage minor and major works.
External contractors: ensuring the estate is managed and works are carried out as per the spec, within agreed service levels and on time. Regular audits, management of KPIs and any progress plans if needed. In future will also involve inviting tenders, interviewing and selection.
Efficiency improvements: investigating and identifying areas for service and cost improvements in all areas from staffing levels through to energy providers.
Soft services: overall management of the various soft service teams including cleaning, restaurant, nursery, waste, reception and grounds maintenance. You will ensure value for money through regular audits and contract criteria.
Environment: responsible for the site's sustainability programme, waste management, carbon reduction and BREEAM assessment through a team of assessors.
Health & safety: working with the safety department to ensure a safer working environment.
Previous experience of large, high containment facilities and estates would be beneficial.
This is a hugely varied role and an exciting opportunity. It's a senior position in their structure and they'll be looking for strong candidates who are able to demonstrate a wide variety of skills. MBIFM, MCMI or an equal level of experience is preferred.
