There will be a single room in a two-bedroom flat shortly available from late August, around Aug 20. The flat is located in Bassett Green Village with quiet, safe environment and nice view (see photos for reference). Bassett Green Village is well known for its GREEN environment. Nearby is a big park area with lovely brooks and dense tall trees, which you can enjoy every day if you use steps to commute. Free car parking place is available. U2/First bus stops and convenience stores are few minutes away from the flat. By steps it takes less than 15 minutes to reach the Highfield campus, University of Southampton. The bedroom is comfortable for a single person. Both the kitchen and living room are huge compared to other flats at the same level of tariff. A private entrance provides additional security for the flat block, in which there are four flats in total owned by the same English landlord. The laundry room is separate from the living section of the flat, next to the back yard, so that the noise produced by washing machine does not disturb you at all. One washing machine is used by each flat. The rent for your room is £300 per calendar month, plus gas/water/electricity/internet bills shared. Ideal for mature research students or professionals who desire to successfully pursue a degree or an early career at Southampton.
We are a Chinese couple currently living in the other bedroom. I am a university research fellow and my wife a shop assistant at John Lewis. We are simple, clean and friendly people who are happy to make friends from all over the world. If required, the current/previous landlords and housemates/flatmates can be introduced as referees.
