Pc Server Support Engineer
PC / Network Support Analyst - Fareham. We're looking for a 2nd line Support Analyst with some commercial experience in support to join a successful Fareham based Software House.
You'll be responsible for providing internal PC / Desktop / Network Support (circa 50 users) and will also be responsible for the installation & support of the core Software product on client sites and will also provide remote support on software issues.
Technologies will be focused around the Microsoft product set and will include Windows, Exchange, SQL Server, MS Office as well Watchguard Firewalls, general Hardware, Software & Networking skills. The company offer a product used by the Emergency Services that also utilises VB.Net, ASP.Net, OCS. The role will involve the initial installation of the software on a client site, post implementation support, problem diagnosis / troubleshooting and the testing of new releases and modules. The majority of the role will be office based but there will be visits to new clients to install software and to existing clients when remote diagnosis proves to be an issue - expected to be about 20% of the role (4 - 6 days per month). Key technical skills / experience required revolve around hardware, software, networking and infrastructure issues. Windows 2000, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ISA, TCP/IP and SQL Server or Oracle skills are required. The role is based in Fareham, Hampshire easily commutable from the Southampton and Portsmouth areas with UK and potentially some international travel. Salary circa £20 - 27k depending upon experience.
