Quantity Surveyor - Poole - Dorset
My client is a civil engineering contractor who have excellent relationship with Wessex Water and Thames Water and are on the £390m 5 year contract of which they should see £50m of. This being the case they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor.
My client is not necessarily looking for someone with loads of clean and dirty water experience but you must be conversant with NEC and ideally ICHEM contracts. Although my client is not a claims conscious contractor they are looking for a candidate who is able to monitor and document any potential issues and be able to capture the monies within the contract. Because my client has these strong relationships with their clients they wish to resolve any arguments prior going to a claim thus keeping an excellent professional relationship.
You will be the only Quantity Surveyor for the time being but as the contract picks up pace they will be looking to take on another Quantity Surveyor. If you wish to move to management then you will be given the opportunity to do this at this time.
The company and office are looking to grow over the next 5 years from a £20 turnover contractor to a £50m have the relationships and contracts to achieve this target.
The company are excellent at retaining their staff as they offer a flexible, professional, and friendly work environment with a flat management structure so there is not a massive hierarchy within the business.
You will be based in Poole but going to site across the region which is from Swanage to Christchurch up to the M4.
Package on offer is
Up to £50k + car or car allowance (c£5k)
