Event Security Manager

M J Events Support Ltd is based in Camberley Surrey, and provides security and crowd safety management services to the Entertainment and Leisure Industry. From large outdoor festivals to small private or corporate functions.

Event Security Manager
The successful candidate will be dynamic self-motivated and have excellent customer service and organisational skills, combined with a flexible approach to working which is essential within the event security industry. The role requires working at weekends, anti social hours, and being away from home.

They will need to work effectively both as a team member and positively motivate and lead our existing energetic team of staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the event security contract as per client specification
• Manage and schedule staff including disciplinary and welfare issues
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare written reports
• Carry out site visits and prepare security & crowd safety plans
• Plan and organize crowd management strategies
• Write and ensure compliance with the assignment instructions
• Ensure that health and safety information contained in risk assessments are communicated to relevant employees and clients
• Ensure security crowd safety strategies are delivered at large outdoor public events
• Delivering staff pre event briefings and post event reports

Essential Criteria
• Proven track record within a Supervisory role
• Experienced in staff rota management
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, to include Microsoft Office
• SIA Licensed door supervisor (Training will be provided for the successful candidate if not held)
• Clean full driving license
• Own transport
• Good Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Presentation skills to large numbers of staff

Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge and experience of security and crowd safety operations within the event security industry
• Experience of delivering training

Additional Information

• Salary – 28 - 30K per annum
• Location – Camberley, Surrey
