Bar & Front of House Staff required for 24 room hotel in small Georgian market town in Hampshire. 15 minutes from Winchester, 1 hour from London.

As well as offering breakfast, lunch & dinner to both residents and non resident, the hotel has two function rooms which are used for birthday parties, reunions, wedding receptions and meetings. Therefore the hotel often has to cater for up to 100 people at any one time.

All food is fresh and home made on premises, and the hotel has an excellent reputation for using good quality locally sourced produce.

As Front of house you will be expected to be responsible for all aspects of the restaurant area. As well as taking orders, serving and clearing tables, you will be responsible for laying up tables with a good eye for detail. You will also be expected to take part in daily cleaning duties within the bar/restaurant area.

Experience is essential, and you must be able to promote the business whilst on the floor. In the current climate, any ideas will be welcome that will help to increase the hotel’s GP.

Applicants must have at least 18 months experience as Front Of House/Waiting, and have an outgoing personality.

Applicants are preferred who have a Personal Licence and knowledge of Reception duties, and computer skills, but this is not essential.

As Bar Manager you must be capable, both alone and as part of a team, of running a bar to a high standard. You will also be expected to lock up on occasion. A Personal Licence would be an advantage.

Both positions need applicants with checkable references, and must have the drive and ambition to utilise the full potential of the hotel.
