I am seeking a 1 bedroom property (unfurnished) for rent by my retired mother who is registered disabled. She does not use wheelchair at all so no special access arrangements will be required but she has difficult walking long distances. She is however very active and healthy but would prefer to avoid stairs if possible (the old step i.e. front door is no problem).

Unfurnished is ideal with curtains/blinds and the usual appliances in the kitchen (i.e. cooker, fridge/freezer).

Most areas in Southampton/Eastleigh/Winchester considered but ideally the property would be in a quiet and secure location and the property would have the abilty to park a vehicle relatively close to the building. I would wish to avoid the property being too near to a main road. Near a main bus route would definately be of benefit as she will wish to give up driving in the next 5 or so years possibly.

My mother does have a cat - Poppy is neutered and very well behaved and spends much of her time outdoors. Excellent references can be provided from previous tenancies where both my mother and Poppy have been in-situ. A cat flap is not necessary. Own front access would be beneficial but again not essential.

We appreciate a 6 month probabion tenancy would be necessary to begin with but should the letting prove to be ideal for both parties we would like to make it a long-term letting which could be beneficial for a landlord.
