Meridian Leisure Hotels is seeking a very proactive hotel experienced Financial Controller for their Holiday Inn Express Soton M27 Jct 7.

Located adjacent to the Rose Bowl, the hotel consists of 176 bedrooms with 5 meeting rooms and a busy food & beverage operation.

Preferred candidates should have experience as a Hotel Financial Controller in branded full service hotels with multiple revenue centres.

Micros Fidelio Opera and Sun Accounts experience is a strong advantage.

Previous experience within an InterContinental Hotels Group property is also an advantage

Job Description:

· Preparation of management accounts

· Daily revenue control

· Responsibility for reporting into Head Office on daily & weekly revenue and cash banking

· Responsibility for reconciliations and provision of a variety of financial reports and returns to HO

· Responsible for the supervision of the assistant Financial Controller

· Overall responsibility for purchase ledger and sales ledger administration

· Responsibility for all cash controls within the hotel

· Daily Banking

· Oversee compliance to the food & beverage control system and support the external professional stock taker

· Provide support to the Hotel General Manager

· Report to Group FC and MD

· Ability to operate with comprehensive software solutions and should have strong IT and admin skills.
