Tamiya 4wd monster Vw Herbie.Tlt 1. (£160)
For sale is my Tamiya Max Climber/TLT 1.As you will see from pics it has been highly upgraded and is in excellent condition.Upgrades include :-
alloy hubs all round,
alloy Junfac axle brackets,
nylon diff lockers on both axles,
fully ballraced,
metal geared high torque steering servo,Futaba 9302,
19 triple modified motor,
chrome axle casings,
Junfac beadlock chrome rims all round,
electronic speedo with brake and revers, reverse has a delay,(no ide of make, possibly Traxxas ?)
alloy servo mounts,
carbon chassis plates,
alloy motor mount,
Please take a good look at pics for better idea of condition etc.The chrome axle casings have some scrapes underneath and the chrome plating on them has crazed in places. The motor has been recently skimmed and rebuilt but to my mind is too much for a crawler,it is just too quick, could do with a 55 turn or something. The body comes from a Disney Herbie car that i had kicking around and i have fitted this so that it pivots on the front upper brace mounted to releaseable cable ties and the it mounts on two standard body mounts on the rear via clips accessed through the wheelarch gap on either side.Front lights are wired to a separate switch so you can run it with them on or off.Tyres are excellent and have foam inserts which i suspect are star cut as they feel very soft for good traction but i have'nt looked inside them. The centre diff is also locked but i am unsure how this has been done as i have never had the centre motor mount area apart.
The car comes as seen with radio gear,2 x battery packs and a mains/12v fast/slow charger. All you will need to run it is 8 x aa batteries for the transmitter. Also included is the mounting plate for the rear servo in case you wish to modify it to four wheel steer at a later date,it is currently front steer only.
