We are looking for an experienced Development Engineer to work in the Southampton area.

Based both in the office, lab and occasionally meeting with customers on site, the role is to determine the requirements for the battery control systems and modules including market standards, lifetime, system integration etc. You will be meeting with both suppliers and customers face to face to also determine their requirements, and working alongside the scientists to produce the details that are needed to design the product.

You will also be designing the test of the product which must be done efficiently i.e if there are 50 tests to do, determine a way to test as few ways as possible whilst getting the same outcome.

Requirements:
• Degree, Masters or PHD qualified or equivalent
• An Electro-chem background
• Knowledge/experience within the battery industry
• Knowledge of requirements from a battery- either from a company that produce them or a product with a strong involvement with them.
• Lab experience with in a similar environment
• Excellent customer facing skills

Salary is negotiable (estimated up to 40k), depending on experience.
