Hr Consultant
The role will involve providing HR advice and support to a portfolio of clients, ensuring that the clients always feel they have received an excellent standard of service. Also to maximise sales potential within the portfolio through selling of additional services to meet real needs.
Key Tasks
1. Deal with telephone and email queries from clients in a professional and courteous manner; always check matters of uncertainty and never guess answers to queries
2. Proactively manage a portfolio of around 25 - 30 clients and develop strong business relationships
3. Visit clients at their premises to provide advisory and consultancy services as required
4. Consult clients concerning employment documentation and produce terms and conditions of employment, handbooks and related policies;
5. Meet with clients as required at the Southampton office
6. Provide most up to date and accurate advice and services to clients, including the development of training seminars/courses
7. Identify needs within clients' businesses and provide additional services to the client to meet those needs including HR projects, recruitment, training, etc.
8. Produce high quality, professional work at all times
9. Undertake other work as may from time to time reasonably be required to meet clients' needs, including research, attending meetings, coaching, etc.
10. Deliver external training courses
11. Complete all administrative work required on time and to a professional standard
12. Attend any meetings, training activities or other work-related events as required from time to time.
13. Comply with all Company policies and procedures at all times
14. Adhere to all health & Safety instructions, policies and procedures at all times
15. Maintain client confidentiality at all times
16. Keep up to date with developments and changes in employment legislation and practice
17. Assist other members of the team with work and projects as required from time to time
18. Undertake other work as reasonably requested
Criteria
Essential
Chartered MCIPD status.
HR consultant with 1 to 2 years experience in delivering consultancy services to clients including writing of terms and conditions, policies and procedures Training experience - can demonstrate experience in writing and delivering training courses to at least 10/12 people.
Desirable
Recruitment consultancy experience
Employment Conditions
Located in Hampshire
Willing to travel with some possibility of occasional overnight stays
Salary
Negotiable but range of £25K-£40K plus benefits.
