They are seeking a professional with some or all of the following skills:
 

- Good GIS experience, specifically with ESRI software products including ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE.
- Experience of ArcObjects and VBA for customising ESRI software.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic, C#, and ASP.NET
- Experience working with OS Master Map (specifically ITN) and other Ordnance Survey data.
- Experience with relational databases (MS SQL server and MS Access).
- Knowledge of Windows server and IIS.
- Exposure to working with GPS & mobile devices
- Supporting GIS software for desktop users and servers, managing licences and keeping up to date with service packs and upgrades.
- Maintain GIS data from sources such as the Ordnance Survey, ensuring maps are kept up to date in all GIS systems and passing on updates to other offices.
- Source data from other providers and develop new datasets to meet company's needs.
- Analyse GPS data to create maps and reports and provide maps for use in reports and documents produced by the company.
- Provide GIS help and support to other GIS users and provide training and advice for new users.Act as a central point of communication between GIS users within the company.
- Use ArcObjects to create custom tools and provide custom functionality to GIS users.
- Aid development of web-based GIS applications, and GIS integration with other in-house software.
