This is for TWO SEPARATE JOBS. It is not necessary to be a "Jack of all Trades'. We need SKILLED work with many years of experience. We do not have the time to train you. Nor will 'looking up what is required on the internet' be sufficient, sorry.

That said, we live in a BEAUTIFUL PLACE BY THE SEA! There is a four acre garden, a listed Grade 11 Georgian Farm House, a timber Granary Cottage and a Flat over the garage/workshop. The work is overwhelming, both in the garden and around the house. You will need bags of energy and enthusiasm and a sense of humour, and an artistic eye for detail. We are in our sixties, unconventional and informal. We are retired and will be here most of the time. We have a flock of white doves. No other animals. Regret cannot accomodate cats.

We ask for 3 days work from you in exchange for the furnished accommodation, which includes council tax, all utilities ( heat, hot water etc). We are happy for you to pursue other work/interests during the rest of the week. We may be able to pay a small salary for any additional days worked for us, but that will depend on meeting with you and your skills and energy.

HOWEVER, A SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED ( usually equivalent to a 'months rent').

The property is quite isolated and there is no public transport near by, so you (or your partner) will need to be mobile (even a bicycle will do, but there are no shops close by).

GARDENING WORK: Pruning 60 assorted fruit tress in orchard. Pruning climbing and bush roses, shrubs generally. Also pruning/training wysterias and vines on pergola. LOTS OF WATERING both large plants in pots (bay trees etc) and those newly planted. Regret we are not organic and do not have vegetable garden. General garden maintainance, hedges, fences.

CARPENTER. Skilled Renovation, maintainance of windows, doors, new projects in pipe-line ( bathroom, kitchens).

As previously mentioned, we are retired and therefore do not have an income, hence we cannot provide the salary we would like to be able to give you. BUT its a beautiful place to be, and if it suits you, ( and we get on OK ) then its a perfect opportunity for someone.
