Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 Negotiable


A Fantastic opportunity for a Costs Solicitor / Draftsperson to join a stable and growing legal firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant and friendly environment that encourages personal development.

This varied role will allow you to handle contentious and non-contentious costs for the Insurance department

Responsibilities:

Preparation of Bills of Costs
Preparation of Points of Dispute and replies
Attending assessment hearings
Mediating settlements
Preparing Conditional Fee Agreements
Liaising with Key Stakeholders, including clients, Insurers and internal points of reference

Skills:

Experience of preparing bills of costs, points of dispute, replies on both contentious and non-contentious cases
A Qualified Solicitor or ILEX
Proven negotiation skills
Experience of attending court
The ability to work as part of a team
Good IT and communication skills
A member of the Association of Law Cost Draftsmen would be preferable
