JOB TITLE:
Estimator / Surveyor

REPORTING TO:
Head of Estimating

SALARY:
Up to £38K

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
ONC/HNC/HND or similar, in a building-related discipline.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in preparation of estimates, quotations and tenders.

Assist in preparation of other submissions including Schedule of Rates, quotations and accounts.

Extract quantities from drawings.

Send out sub-contract/supplier enquiries.

Liaise with clients / sub-contractors and suppliers.

Other duties to assist with the running and development of the business, as necessary.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The post holder should be/have:

Computer literate;

Analytical and methodical approach;

Able to communicate well with a wide range of clients, staff and tradesmen;

Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements;

Be a team player;

Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances;

Be able to display initiative, work under pressure and achieve specific deadlines;

Communicate effectively and be able to liaise effectively with staff at all levels;

Have good organisational skills;

Be able to present information in a clear and concise manner.


PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

Quality and accuracy of work;

Achievement of deadlines for submissions of quotes;

Client/customer satisfaction levels;

Compliance with the Company's objectives, policies and procedures.
