I am looking for someone to help look after and be a friend to my lovely and lively 10yr old son, who has athetoid cerebral palsy, after school for 2 or 3 afternoons per week (4.15 – 6.15pm) and some hours at weekends.

This will involve such things as reading books, painting, doing jigsaws, playing on the computer, coming out on family trips, outdoor play and helping with physiotherapy and speech therapy programs (no medical experience necessary).

You will need to be physically fit, enthusiastic, very patient, cheerful, confident, have an excellent sense of humour and enjoy working with children. Experience and/or interest in special needs would be beneficial, car driver/owner would be helpful and I would prefer you to be CRB checked, but this is not essential.

Pay dependant on age and experience
