ENGINEERING MANAGER - SOUTHAMPTON - £40-45k + benefits

An independent mechanical engineering company is looking for a Engineering Manager to run the technical side of their business including the Design, Production and Quality departments.

Reporting to the Managing Director the role will involve supervising the mechanical design element of the business, working towards implementing an ISO quality standard and ensuring that manufacturing is run efficiently and to Health and Safety Directives. The role will involve managing up to 10 direct reports and being part of the senior management team.

This role will encompass all technical aspects of the company so a broad knowledge and experience of low/medium volume mechanical engineering environments and procedures is essential. Other essential attributes are a knowledge and experience of 3D CAD packages/mechanical design and strong man management skills. Experience of implementing/maintaining ISO9000.

This Engineering Manager role is based in Southampton and is commutable from Portsmouth, Winchester, Alton, Salisbury, Bournemouth and other locations across Hampshire, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
