Job Title: Sous Chef

Status: Full time, permanent position

Hours: Most days Split Shifts 10.00 – 14.30 and 17.00 to 21.00
5 days according to rota

Holidays: In line with the Working Time Directive. Presently 24 days per annum

Salary: Circa £20k

Uniform: Chefs white provided and laundered by the hotel

Benefits: Parking available

Job details:
• Three star hotel serving the full range of meals, buffets etc.
• Cooking skills in all departments of the kitchen
• Menu planning and introduction of new menu ideas.
• Ordering of food.
• Stocktaking of food.
• Training of junior staff.

Staff supervision: Able to organise team of 7 chefs.

Personal Profile:
• Well organised person who would be able to run the kitchen in Chef’s absence.
• Team player.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Enthusiastic and amiable
• Ability to deal with several events on the same day as the hotel is busy.
