Sous Chef
Job Title: Sous Chef
Status: Full time, permanent position
Hours: Most days Split Shifts 10.00 14.30 and 17.00 to 21.00
5 days according to rota
Holidays: In line with the Working Time Directive. Presently 24 days per annum
Salary: Circa £20k
Uniform: Chefs white provided and laundered by the hotel
Benefits: Parking available
Job details:
Three star hotel serving the full range of meals, buffets etc.
Cooking skills in all departments of the kitchen
Menu planning and introduction of new menu ideas.
Ordering of food.
Stocktaking of food.
Training of junior staff.
Staff supervision: Able to organise team of 7 chefs.
Personal Profile:
Well organised person who would be able to run the kitchen in Chefs absence.
Team player.
Able to work under pressure.
Enthusiastic and amiable
Ability to deal with several events on the same day as the hotel is busy.
