We are looking for a confident Healthcare Assistant to work with both, adults (Aged 18-65) and the Elderly. You will be supporting residents with complex needs such as learning disabilities, physical disabilities and Mental Health disabilities including dementia.

Your duties will include carrying out safe and knowledgeable care as per individual resident care plan. Enabling the clients to maintain, as far as possible, an independent varied lifestyle. The delivery of care must be consistent and of a high standard, respecting the residents dignity and promoting a maximised quality of life.

You must demonstrate an ability to develop social relationships and improving and encouraging communication between residents, relatives and staff. You must work efficiently to ensure that smooth running of the unit and take an active role in team meetings.

Skills:

Valid Moving & Handling and Food Hygiene certificates are preferred.
Industry experience and a full driving licence are advantageous.
Flexible and be available for work on weekends and evenings.
An NVQ qualification in a relevant field is preferred, however not essential.
