Creative percussionist wanted
Creative percussionist wanted by guitarist to form a working acoustic duo. I'm in my 40's and experienced in the gigging world! Would suit somebody who specializes in playing the cajon as a central feature (although not essential), along-side various other percussion pieces. The songs are basically known classics from Lennon to the Verve, Bowie to Snow Patrol, Tracy Chapman to the Police, but performed in a subtle and creative way. I would like to gig this a couple of times per week initially in pubs but develop the act for theatre. The percussion will be central to the overall sound and certainly not just a backing. If you have vocals, and/or can write lyrics this would also be an advantage for the continuing development of the duo (although neither of these are critical). I have a PA, van, lights, mics, monitors etc. All you need is your percussion, and your creativity. No gigging experience necessary! Any age, male or female! Southampton/Winchester area. All gigs will be paid work.
