Hi guys and girls,

I am the coach of a Competitive Cheerleading squad based in Southampton called Panthers Allstar Cheerleading and Dance Company and we are now recruiting athletes for our cheerleading and dance teams.

What is competitive cheerleading?
It is a sport that combines

* stunting and pyramids (when you throw people in the air like in 'bring it on')
* Dance
* Gymnastics
* Jumps - like toe touches, pikes and hurdlers

Why do we do it?
Every competitive team trains with the aim of competing in competitions throughout the season. With over 22,000 other cheerleaders in the country.

Our goal is to compete and regional, national and international competitions with the goal of attaining a bid to go to Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando Florida every year:

For the boys:

We have had an upsurge in requests from guys and are now recruiting male athletes. The following video is of 'Partner Stunt' where you will be paired with a female athlete to work on routines for competitions:

We also have spots on co-ed teams if you are interested in competing as part of a team as well.

You do not need any experience as we teach you all you need to know but a background in dance, cheerleading and gymnastics does help.
