Production Engineer - Dorset - South - South Coast - Electronics - Contract Electronics Manufacturer - SMT - PCB Assembly - £Negotiable + Benefits

Reporting to the Quality and Production Engineering Manager, the Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all quality and production processes are optimised to meet the required manufacturing standards whilst meeting the objectives of the business. This role will include the implementation and management of a cost reduction programme.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
Ensuring all quality and production processes are optimised to meet the required manufacturing standards whilst meeting the objectives of the business. Provide technical support for production, purchasing and planning departments. Keep abreast of advances in new component and manufacturing technologies. Keep up to date with The Waste and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (ROHS). Approve Process Note changes. Carry out trialing of new and existing consumable materials and equipment. Support temperature profiling on the Wave and Reflow soldering machines. Provide technical support for customer complaints and warranty returns. Carry out other related tasks as specified by the Quality and Production Engineering Manager.
